“El Barrio de Santiago” of which we are part of, stands out not only for its colonial facades but also for having one of the richest traditional Mexican food markets that refer us to its history: it was used to concentrate and house the indigenous Mayan population that the Spanish conquers found living in what were the ruins of the ancient Mayan city of “T’Hó”, during the process of the conquest of Yucatan.
